Shrabana Das (Shrobona) is a photographer and interdisciplinary artist based between Kolkata and Shantiniketan, India. Her practice grows from sustained engagement with communities, archives, ecology, and postmemory, where lived experience and inherited histories shape her visual language. Working through field research and material experimentation, she observes how everyday life carries ecological knowledge, social continuity, and collective memory within ordinary gestures and lived environments. Her work holds a curious attention to body image, identity, language, space, smell, and sonic experience, moving between the personal and the shared. By staying with traces, silences, and relationships, she reflects on how memory becomes inscription, how human existence remains entangled with the natural world, and how art can become a process of remembering, listening, and reimagining shared futures.
